Steam Saving With Direct Contact Molasses Conditioners
Steam saving with DCH plus Molasses Conditioners
DCH plus Direct Contact Molasses Conditioners have proved to be an excellent solution for efficient molasses conditioning. In several sugar factories the conventional inefficient dilution tank arrangement has been replaced with modern DCH plus conditioners. With the DCH plus system no high-pressure steam is required to be injected in the feed tanks to maintain the temperature of feed. The DCH plus are equipped with very good automation and thus they have man-less operation. We recommend to install DCH plus for raw and refinery molasses conditioning.

Features and benefits of DCH plus
- ~ 80 °C vapour can be used
- Excellent crystal dilution
- Helps to reduce fine grains in the pans
- Small space required for installation
- Fully automatic operation; no man-power required
- DCH plus system maintains molasses temperature in the feed tanks at ~ 75 °C all the time. Thus, no need of high-pressure steam injection in the feed tanks
- No hot water addition to the molasses fed to the pans
- Steam saving up to 2 % on cane possible
- Cascading benefits at the pans:
- Less steam required for the pans
- Shorter pan strikes
- Injection water and power saving
